Join Our Team as a Student Mentor & Activity Leader

Minerva Private Academy is seeking passionate individuals to join our tutoring, academic and enrichment programs. We provide meaningful opportunities to make a difference in children’s learning and development, within a flexible, supportive, and nurturing environment.

About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic Student Mentors & Activity Leaders to support our tutoring, academic and enrichment programs. This is a fantastic opportunity for university students, Teachers, Educators, Professionals  from any discipline to gain hands-on experience, build transferable skills, and contribute meaningfully to a children’s education program.

 You will:

-Lead or assist small-group enrichment activities in areas such as literacy, STEM, arts, music, drama, wellbeing, or other specialist subjects

-Support children’s learning, confidence, and social development

-Create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment

Who We’re Looking For:

1. University Students

Studying Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, Arts, Music, or any discipline with an interest in youth development.

• Gain hands-on experience
• Build transferable skills
• Contribute meaningfully to children’s learning and enrichment

2. Current or Retired Educators

Teachers, professors, or education specialists with a passion for sharing their expertise.

• Mentor students
• Deliver specialist teaching
• Support academic enrichment programs

3. Professionals

Individuals with specialist skills or expertise who want to inspire and engage children.

• Lead or assist creative or academic activities
• Contribute your knowledge in a meaningful, flexible way

 Requirements:

• Current Police Clearance
• Current and positive Blue Card (Working With Children Check)
• Tertiary education completed, or currently working toward a degree in any discipline (education related fields preferred but not required)
• Warm, reliable, and enthusiastic about working with children.
