Meet Our Team

Bea Nagy

Meet Bea–Founder & Director

I’m an educator, leader, and lifelong learner. I'm also the founder of Minerva Private Academy, a project that’s as personal as it is professional. With over 20 years of experience in education and business across Australia, South Korea, and Europe, I’ve always been drawn to building inclusive, student-focused environments where people feel safe, inspired, and supported to grow.

My background is diverse: I hold a Bachelor of Economics, a Graduate Certificate in TESOL, and specialised certifications in teaching English to young learners and business English. I’m also currently completing a Master of Education in Educational Leadership. Alongside academic training, I bring years of cross-cultural experience, fluency in several languages, and a strong belief in the power of education to transform lives.

Minerva was born from a deep humanitarian vision to make high-quality education not just available, but meaningful and accessible for families from all walks of life. Our philosophy is simple yet powerful: inspire potential, broaden horizons, expand opportunities, and enrich the world of every student. That’s the heart of everything we do.

At Minerva, I’m not just overseeing from a distance; I’m hands-on every single day. I teach English to multilingual adults, helping them build confidence, reconnect with their voices, and navigate life in a new country. In the afternoons, I lead and support our children's enrichment programs, which focus on creativity, literacy, and social and emotional development. I’m always available to students and families, working closely with them to ensure they feel heard and valued.

Behind the scenes, I manage the school’s day-to-day operations, lead our dedicated team of educators, and take an active role in building community partnerships. I also advocate, network, and fundraise on behalf of the school—work that’s challenging but deeply rewarding. Every aspect of Minerva, from curriculum to culture, is shaped with care, intention, and a deep sense of responsibility.

To me, Minerva isn’t just a school, it’s a living, breathing community. It’s a place where people are empowered to learn, belong, and thrive. And I’m proud to be part of it, every step of the way.

Anna Schier

Meet Anna – Academic Support & Student Services Coordinator

I’m a law student, educator, and academic mentor, and I’m proud to serve as Academic Support & Student Services Coordinator at Minerva Private Academy. I’m currently in my third year of law studies at Yonsei University, one of South Korea’s most prestigious institutions. My academic path is driven by a strong passion for human rights law and a commitment to supporting others through education.

My journey in education began in high school, where I tutored young students in English. Since then, I’ve worked as a teacher’s aide at Busan Foreign School, providing one-on-one support in English and math for first-grade students, including those with attention difficulties. I’ve also delivered targeted ESL tutoring, helping students improve their pronunciation, spelling, and reading skills.

I also provide tutoring in primary and junior school mathematics.

At Minerva, I work closely with both students and staff to ensure every learner has access to the academic tools and personalised support they need to succeed. Whether through one-on-one mentoring, writing assistance, or classroom collaboration, I aim to create a learning environment where students feel confident, capable, and encouraged.

At the university level, I’ve supported middle school, high school, and undergraduate students with English writing and editing, covering everything from creative writing to analytical and research papers in English literature, philosophy, law, and more. I guide students through the process of forming strong theses, structuring their arguments, and refining their grammar.

Being part of Minerva allows me to combine my love of education with my dedication to helping students thrive both academically and personally. It’s a joy to be part of such a caring and dynamic learning community.

Emmy Sanchez

Meet Emmy Sancez – Creative Arts Coordinator

I’m a designer, educator, and passionate advocate for the arts, and I’m proud to serve as Creative Arts Coordinator at Minerva Private Academy. My journey began in Colombia, where I earned an Advanced Diploma in Marketing and Design, and I’m currently furthering my studies in both Fashion Design and Graphic Design. For me, creativity isn’t just a skill—it’s a way of seeing and engaging with the world.

My love for the arts has been a constant throughout my life. I founded a bespoke textile and knitwear studio, where I expressed my creative voice through handcrafted, original pieces. That experience not only deepened my understanding of design but also taught me the value of artistry, patience, and storytelling through fabric and form.

Beyond my own creative practice, I’ve always been drawn to community and education. I’ve volunteered with children with special needs, leading inclusive knitting and art workshops designed to empower young learners through creativity, connection, and self-expression. Those moments reinforced my belief that the arts have the power to uplift, inspire, and unite.

At Minerva, I support the delivery and development of our visual arts, music, drama, and design programs. I work closely with students to help them explore their imaginations, build confidence, and discover their creative voices. I also collaborate with our teaching team to ensure the arts remain a vibrant and inclusive part of our learning environment.

Being part of a school that values artistic expression and encourages creativity at every level makes my work incredibly fulfilling. I’m grateful to contribute to a space where students are empowered to create, explore, and thrive.

Nicolas Monroy Pardo

Meet Nicolas - Digital & ICT Coordinator

I’m a creative IT professional with a passion for digital storytelling, web design, and smart technology solutions. At Minerva Private Academy, I serve as the Digital & ICT Coordinator, where I manage our website, develop marketing and educational content, and support the school’s broader digital systems to ensure a smooth and connected experience for students and staff.

Originally from Colombia, I hold an Advanced Diploma in Analysis and Development of Information Systems, along with a Certificate III in Web Development from TAFE Queensland. I’m currently furthering my IT studies, focusing on the evolving intersection of technology, education, and media.

At Minerva, I bring together both creative and technical skills—designing and maintaining our online presence, developing engaging multimedia content, and assisting with essential ICT functions such as system setup, troubleshooting, and tech support. I enjoy being the bridge between innovation and functionality, helping the school run efficiently while communicating its mission with clarity and style.

I believe in using technology not just to inform, but to inspire. Whether I’m solving a technical issue or creating digital content, I’m proud to contribute to an environment where creativity, learning, and connectivity thrive.

Currently I am re-designing the Minerva platform, so check back soon when we unveil our new look and interactive website.
